I have heard speculation that the impending flu pandemic is a creature of Rumsfeld's stock portfolio. However, I was listening to NPR yesterday and they had an American and a British doctor on who seemed to be taking it quite seriously. I am not sure what I think of all this -- I am currently reading Stephen King's "The Stand" so it's hard to separate the predictions of doom from the fantasy ;) I suppose it is always good to be prepared.
