Maybe, but I know a group of SF writers who dressed as jedi during a recent convention that took place during the whole jedi religion controversy. One of them even started a whole joke running because he looked like Jesus. The jokes about him entering the room, his wife and all were great. But as to the point of me not having met any jedi yet, the question is one of belief. I don't know anyone who truly believes in the tenets of the jedi faith. I know people who truly believe in God, Satan, Isis, and a host of others. I know practitioners of the occult (including some here) who truly believe in magic and practice it (I can't for the time being due to a task from my Rabbi). It all comes down to true belief. Do you believe? If you do, then your a jedi. If not, your not. That simple. Its something that will upset many people but there's a difference between upbringing/culture and belief. Are you a Christian if you don't believe in Jesus? Dogma says that you are but the question comes down to the person. Do you believe?
That's why I disliked Lieberman so much. He said he believed but his actions just made me wonder. (oh, that post may have been misdated to the 1st rather than todays date).
