Hey, My brother was on the USS George Washington!! He was on the very
first crew. As a matter of fact, I drank my Leinenkugel's Red out of a
USS George Washington commemorative glass last night. He was an
electronics guy, worked with satellites and stuff.

Actually, the military recognizes Wicca, Native American, Satanism
(Crowley's blend if memory serves) and other religions (I'm *not*
going to
debate their validity here, that's a horse of a different color), but
their
services are run by recognized "lay readers" as opposed to chaplains
that
are solely in the military as ministers.

The ship that I was on (USS George Washington, CVN-73) had Jewish,
Native
American, Wiccan and (again, if I remember correctly) Hindi lay
readers, but
  only Protestant and Catholic chaplains.
