So, an update. I too felt like the sales guy was fishing. My wife
called them back (she is much more forceful than I) and spoke to a
manager. Turns out - the manager had sold the car to his friend, so he
felt pretty bad. The shop in NO way wants more money out of us - but
they did ask us to please fax them the report we had from the repair
shop (which shows a transmission check). So I'm guessing they may
contact the repair shop, but they aren't going to bug us.
