If I had a reliable cable company I'd switch. Cox Cable is the absolute
worst bunch of incompetent scumbags I've ever had to deal with. I'm hoping
for a HD antenna for Christmas.....

I have had Dish Network for 2 years now and the outages
were not bad. Only 2 or maybe 3 times when we have had
some severe rain storms to include the hurricane.

Never had a problem with the installation, but one of my
reasoning is the price difference. We are paying close
to $100 a month for 4 receivers. None of them have a DVR.

Other reason for the change is to get a DVR or whatever it
is called with DirecTV. Since we did not opt for the DVR
to start with, now there is a fee to have it added to include
the additional monthly fee.

I have had nothing but problems with my DishNetwork system since I got
it.

such a poor job he had to come back out to rain outages that as soon as
footbal season (have gameplan) is over, I am switching to cable.

I'm going to cable mostly because of the HDTV locals but also the rain
deal.
I'm not sure if its my location (close to trees) or what, but it doesnt
take much rain to lose the signal for me.
