::snort:: the public's trust. In talk shows? He expressed an opinion.
I believe there was a healthy dose of denial in that opinion, but he
didn't have any kind of sacred trust to be absolutely accurate on Meet
the Press or wherever it was.

The Post is another matter. If I were his editor I would probably have
fired him or at least set him to a fast round of investivating the
crime rate in Anacostia. He allowed himself to be coopted and he does
seems to have withheld knowledge of stories that should have hit print
because they were pertinent to his book. But this is between himself
and the Post, and I am not crying for the Post either... they have
ridden his coattails and they went into this relationship with its
predicable issues with their eyes open.

But I think you are allowing yourself to be Roved. Look at the rest of
the news. The United States has admitted using chemical weapons
against a population center, and figures that's ok because they never
signed the treaty. There are half-a-dozen ethics investigations
underway and the only thing protecting the first amendment right now
is a filibuster. The administration WANTS you to be concerned about
Woodward's ethics.
