Hm. My SUV is actually shorter in length than the audi a4 I was looking at, gets better mileage in the city than the a4 where 95% of my driving is done, the speed limits in the city are typically 30mpg (though it does fine on the freeway), and I haven't been in an accident since I was 17.
And I can fit lumber in it or haul a trailer from it for my home renovations, so it's more useful to me than the a4 and it was half the price.
