Why not use the folks in Cuba, or Venezuela as an example of countries being demonised because they dare to tread a different path? The US supported a coup against an elected government in Venezuela because they don't like Chavez's expressed policy of pulling away from Dependence on the United States and seeking to empower Latin American countries. No one really knows what his plans are, who knows he may turn into some crazy dictator that seeks to attack and control everything around him...but that's not what is happening now.
India and Pakistan have the bomb *now*, they didn't several years ago. Since getting the bomb their relations with the US and the West has improved amazingly in a very short space of time. THe US would prefer Israel not have Nukes? GUFFAW! Who gave them the technology?? Another response said that Israel never signed any treaties. Fair enough, so what if Iran wants to pull out of the treaty the way America has pulled out of several Treaties since the Bush Administration. Why are they under any obligations? And the US is best buddies with China. Look at the extraordinary volume of Trade and commerce being done with that country. No Sanctions there, no sir-ee. And where is the violation of human rights greatest? China or Cuba? don't talk about Hypocrisy.
