Well my wife did have pains frequently and I was able to get Her to go see a doctor (somewhat forcing the issue - in a loving way).
We did see the ultrasound and sure enough she had a few large ones. After the surgery, I spoke to the doctor and she showed me what the Stones looked like that they removed. It was kind of disgusting but I know that my wife is far better off now. She had pains that was so bad she would almost cry and would not Work for 1-2 days when they occurred. -----Original Message----- From: William Bowen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2005 9:26 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Gall Bladder surgery > A friend had it - let's just say she was waaaaayyy happier afterwards, if > that's any consolation. (Living with pain sucks, apparently. :) ) That's the weird part, other than an "attack" the Monday morning after Thanksgiving, which landed my in the ER, I haven't had any pain, really (there was one incident of similar pain about five years ago, I attributed it to gas...). In the last few days, since coming to the realization I will probably have the surgery I get twinges, but other than that there is no pain to speak of. The doctor said I must have been living with this condition for some time as my gall bladder is "full" of stones (5 or 6 large ones and a bunch of small ones - I've seen the ultrasound pics, and they are definitely there). and the wall of the gall bladdder is thickened, indicating scar tissue and further backing the claim of longevity... <<sigh>> > Hope it goes well.
