I think Larry's point was that your response was similar to this: "Yeah, sure, lots of innocent people got whacked. But, hey, I sleep ok because there were some bad guys in there too. " The whole point, however, is WAY too deep in the weeds. The time to be concerned about innocent deaths is BEOFRE you invade. Further, it's not morally acceptable to equate deaths not at your hand to deaths at your hand. (i.e., the whole "but Hussein was killing lots of innocents" *he* was, *we* weren't) The US is responsible for every innocent death it's caused and that responsibility is in no way diminished by somebody else's attrocities. All that being said, we're now in Iraq and therefore responsible for it.
