Yup, just making a point. A pacifist has to give up the right of defense. They must accept that if others attempt to use violence against them, they will not respond in kind. And so, in the case of Wayne, he must understand that if someone attacks his wife, as a pacifist, he must sit down to begin his protest while she is accosted. If he's unwilling to do that, then he's not a pacifist. In the same way this is what the US has done. They were attacked, but are not pacifists, so they are responding in kind. Unfortunately for its citizens, the President is a strategic buffoon and so that in-kind response is misplaced. As to soldiers, they are trained to defend, in an organized manner, against an enemy that has attacked them or their country. In this way they are no different than Wayne defending his wife. Soldiers protect all husbands, wives, and children. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:188629 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
