That brings up another thing. TVs with built-in digital cable tuners.
Just like there was a transition from VHF and UHF TV where you had to
use the external cable box to TV that was "cable-ready" and supported
100+ channels without needing the box, now with digital cable some TVs
are including digital cable tuners so that you can again ditch the
cable box.

The thing to look for is either "QAM" for the tuner or support for a
CableCard. The card is just a bit of flash memory that tells it to
unlock the subscriber channels like HBO.
