It's because they are politicans, not because they are dems or repubs. They don't see what they are doing as morally wrong....it's just politics as usual. There is such a disconnect in reasoning among these people that it's appalling. That being said, republicans always seem ready to banish you to the fires of hell for being gay....but would be more than willing to look the other way if you wanted too make a few "harmless" bucks on the side. I really think they see one as a morality issue, and other not.
