agreed. > Without a doubt every western country owes its freedom to the US. > Arguably every country in the world does. agreed > Think of the US like electricity: it's dangerous, it can be somewhat > unpredictable, it can kill without warning or provocation for > seemingly no reason. See, there's a problem with comparing the US to electricity; in an ideal system, electricity is only produced when it is needed for consumption. It won't pre-emptively strike your house, tearing out the walls and floor with shock and awe in the middle of the night to replace the toaster in your kitchen with a better more efficient and democratically elected model that in a few years from now might be ready to take over toasting/broiling duties. > [grabs flag, steps to top of hill, looks nobly to the distance] :-) -- will "If my life weren't funny, it would just be true; and that would just be unacceptable." - Carrie Fisher ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:190831 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
