I like to get in some exercise (running or surfing) at lunch, in which case I 
feel great and power through the rest of the day. If I can't exercise but I'm 
hardcore coding that day, I usually do ok.

If, like today, I feel like a zombie at 1:15, I just go with it, read 
something, maybe do low brain-power tasks like returning phone calls, and I 
leave the big brain work for later. Sometimes I just close my eyes for a couple 
of minutes and that helps recharge the batteries.
