TV, movies, and especially now the Internet. American mass media has a peerless 
global reach. The only thing remotely comparable is the Indian film industry, 
which in bigger in some terms than Hollywood.

And it doesn't hurt that official Iranian policy condemns anything and 
everything American. Nothing like that forbidden fruit ...
