I'm torn on this one. Is the class "about Intelligent Design" or about lots
of ideas like Intelligent Design?

>From a purely objective perspective I don't really think that ID proponents
should be able to have things both ways here.

They force the claim that "ID is science!" - that's the fundamental core
argument. As such it should not be taught in a philosophy class (and
honestly if that's their position ID proponents should be against this as
well).

If it's a scientific concept it should be judged, criticized and dealt with
at that level and none other. Considering the serious sciences you wouldn't
have a "philosophy of geology" or "philosophy of biology" class, right? And
considering the pseudosciences how would you feel about a "philosophy class"
on astrology, homeopathy, reflexology or ESP?

For that matter how would ID, a self-proclaimed scientific discipline, even
be taught as a course of philosophic study? If the class is called
"philosophy" but the materials are presented claim to be science then isn't
it a science class?
