Hi All, It seems our entitlement program threads always devolve into:
1.) "You're arrogant", or 2.) "You're shallow", or 3.) "You don't understand economics" Well, for me, all of this may be true. Nevertheless I still don't understand why other people should be given our hard-earned money for nothing in return. So, I INVITE ALL OF YOU TO ... EXPLAIN IT ... INNNNnnn ... PEOPLE! I'll start by giving 3 examples of people that would have gotten, but didn't receive, welfare, minimum wage, etc. Then you provide 3 examples of people and explain why they're not capable of doing exactly as my 3 did. Here are my people, none geniuses, some even Packer Fans: 1.) My brother. Came from a broken home on the other side of the tracks and had an alcoholic father that abandoned his family. At 16 he left high school and got a job in manual labor. He teamed with another worker and left at 19 to start his own business. Today he runs it out of a 15,000 sq ft facility and employs about 50 people. 2.) Friend of the Family. He also left school in 8th grade and became a tile layer. Eventually he owned his own business and made a good, but not great, living for his family. Unfortunately he passed away last year before he got to retire. 3.) Wife's dad. Machinist. Travels all around taking any job he can in a dying field, but makes a good living. So, let's have it! Who are these people that aren't handicapped but can't earn a living? Or save for retirement. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:194501 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
