I agree with you on most of your points TW's. But frankly, they don't have 
anything to do with this questin: Why should Bush be allowed to circumvent 
the check and balance already in place which allows him to tap American 
citizen's phone lines with a warrant?

Why? There is absolutely no reason. If the FISA court is tangled in red tape 
making this process ardous...then fix it! But for our own sake, don't remove 
the warrant process altogether.

Even if you don't believe Bush would abuse this, you have to accept that 
down the road someone else might.

I mean, as Ben Franklin once said.........just kidding :)
