F-ing bureaucrats, the lot of you.

The wiretaps are targeting phone calls where one of the parties is a suspected
(or proven) terrorist overseas who is talking to someone in the U.S.,
presumably not to plan the next family get-together.

The President does not need a warrant to send spy planes to listen in on
terrorist conversations in Afghanistan. Why would he then need a warrant just
because that same terrorist made a call to New York? This is a global war, not
a global police action. The NSA is a big part of the war effort, and electronic
intelligence is a big part of what they do.

Too many people are caught up in the semantics of the situation. This is not a
traditional war between states. This is an asymmetrical war against non-state
actors. Our rules of warfare need to adapt to the reality of that situation if
we intend to win this war.

I don't like the invasion of privacy any more than the next guy, but it is a
necessary tool of the government in the war effort.

>Wait... because the information is worthless in prosecution, they way I
>understand it the FISA court is never, not available.
