Apparently nobody read the part of my post that said this: "When the gov't takes money from people who've earned it, say Caribou Coffee, and gives it to a corporation that hasn't, say Haliburton, then they're encouraging dependency." Or when I said this: "The question is not who should gov't give money to, it's who should gov't be taking money from? And the answer is nobody. If you didn't earn it, you don't deserve it, be you individual or corporation." Maybe it's late for all of you, but I thought I was pretty clear. ALL WELFARE IS WRONG INCLUDING CORPORATE. My point is succinct: when the gov't redistributes wealth bad things happen. Instead I favor Maureen's approach that provides the good and services necessary to get someone back on their feet. Note that this is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than giving someone cash. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:194928 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
