I was listening to talk radio the other night and someone brought up a
couple of good points.

1) Hamas is now the official government of Palestine, which means they be
bogged down with municipal items (trash, sewers, schools, jobs etc) this
will take away much of the time and planning for terrorist actions

2) Hamas is now the official government of Palestine, which means any
terrorist actions taken by Hamas, are now acts by the official government.
It also means that Israel can declare war should the Palestinian government
attack

3) Hamas is now the official government of Palestine, which means they are
accountable to the rest of the world for their actions, it also means that
it's much easier to justify UN/US Intervention should they attack Israel.

It's a matter of time before either one of two things happens.

1) They renounce their previous ways, if they don't they will have their
collective asses handed to them eventually, and the Middle East will become
WWIII.

2) They attack Israel, which will result in the second part of 1)

Just my $.02

I don't think it's a good thing at all, merely a useful thing in that it
clarifies the situation. It sucks for the Palestinians, but there is very
little Israel or the U.S. can do until they sort out their internal
problems.
