I do a LOT of stretching. I got shin splints early on and I'm afraid of
them coming back to haunt me so I do a lot of deep deep stretches. A
good 10-15 minutes before and 20 after. 

I keep the stretches a lot longer after. I also work on my flexibility
after, each day seeing how deep I can get the stretches. I can almost
touch my nose to knee from a standing position. :)
