For me, it's not about 'ease' so much as 'my tiny stovetop only has 3 small 
burners and 1 large'... and with a big pan already on the stove it just doesn't 
fit. :)

I also like the idea of just popping in the rice, water and magically rice 
appears without babysitting the stove at all... going directly to 'warm' 
afterward sounds like perfection.
