That was the original site plan, in conjunction with the DC bid for the 2012
Summer Olympic Games.

They were going to transform both sides of the Anacostia River for the
games. DC would've had a Riverwalk project and the Olympic Village in that
sector. And a second stadium for DC United

The new plan is to build on the eastern side, the baseball stadium is first,
I don't know, if the second stadium is still in the cards or if DC United
will continue to play at RFK

I know nothing about DC (having only been 9 when we moved away from
there), but google returned this as the firt search page for
"nationals new ballpark dc"

http://www.jdland.com/dc/stadium.cfm

Maybe someone can look at the map and say...

this was what you were talking about. But this is not some fuzzy
interpretation of what some hypothetical Muslim may have been thinking, so I
find it particularly annoying. I mean, Anacostia is where Anacostia has
always been ;) I don't think they are building a stadium there, but you tell
me... *is* it RFK Stadium you are talking about? If so, it ain't in
Anacostia.
