I was registered as a Libertarian until the recall election that brought in Schwarzeneggar. On the recall ballot, in the little space where each candidate gets to list a one-liner slogan, the Libertarian candidate's read, "legalize ferret farming", or something very close to that. A serious political party does not allow un-serious people to run for office.
