I don't know if I mentioned it.

I've been sitting on my bum for a week due to a foot broken in 11 places.

I went in for a normal doctor checkup last Friday (diabetes checkup),
and mentioned that my foot was sometimes swelling up a the end of a
long day (I assumed it was just a complication from a bad ankle-foot
sprain in December, and a side-effect of diabetes)

The doctor looked at my foot and said, "No, I think it's broken", and
sent me for xrays.

So I walked over to another hospital and got xrays, then walked back
to my doctor's and had her look over the xrays. She showed my a few
breaks in the foot, and sent me to the ER to see the on-call
podiatrist.

I walked over to another building, and went to the ER, where they were
frantically waiting for me (I didn't know they had a wheelchair
waiting for me at the other clinic)

End of story, my foot is broken in 11 places, and I am forbidden to
even touch it down for 2 months.

And I now know that (due to neuropathy caused by diabetes), my foot
does not feel pain at quite the level it should. I knew my foot HURT,
but it didn't feel like it was INJURED, if you can see the difference.

I walked on it for almost 2 months, removed and installed 2 boilers,
was the roadie for a heavy metal band one weekend, and started riding
my exercise bike 3-6K per day during the time it was broken.

I am also bored out of my mind.
