As for International Law not applying to AMericans, it should not apply to protect Americans either in that case. Just as the US says about Iran and Iraq, breaking Treaties, the US cannot be depended upon to keep treaties either. Do you know how many Treaties Bush has backed out of since he came into office? THe biggest of which is that the Geneva convention does not apply to the thousands of victims at Guantanamo bay. Because Europe prefers to explore diplomatic routes, sanctions etc. and they do not want to drop NUCLEAR WEAPONS on a sovereign state they are 'running scared'? Good grief.
