Given... But having a relative who's gay and being immersed in gay
culture because you're trying to participate in it for yourself are
not the same thing. Heterophobes will self-select themselves out of
the environment where a straight person might be videotaping a wedding
if they don't know for a fact that everyone at the wedding _will_ be
gay. Sad but true. I'd ask her about heterophobes, you might be
surprised that she's got some stories. But yes, not all environments
are the same, so it may be that the mainstream gay culture in that
area doesn't really have heterophobes. I would find that surprising,
but certainly not impossible.
