Actually, the majority of the illegals caught in New Orleans are acting as 
casual labor.  No taxes are taken out of that pay and the employer, if the 
laborer receives more than $600, is supposed to issue a 1099, not a W-2.  
However, many employers just record fake names and makes sure each name never 
gets more than $600 in a year.  No federal payment or paperwork required.

Just to let you know, I worked casual labor through a few years of college.  I 
did roofing and warehousing.  I never received a 1099, never even gave my name 
at the start or end of the day.  I did pay the taxes myself, but wasn't really 
required to.
