I'm still not exactly sure what lies they've told. I've seen instances of them not offering up info, but I'm not sure where they actually lied.
The news reports don't seem to show anything that makes it clear anybody lied, just that they didn't offer up information. So far what we know is that Bush declassified some information that the Administration felt was crucial in getting the public and the world to get on board with Iraq. Now was the information credible, I don't know. Last I heard the Brits still stand by it, and some people think that while some of it was based on what turned out to be forged, other stuff still showed that he was interested; but unable to actually acquire it because of the sanctions. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but the President declassifying the information would ensure that Scooter and anybody else would be allowed to talk about it to the press. Now what I don't get was the plan here. If they wanted it out there, why not stand up and say it. Get on TV and show the people the info.
