Israel dealt with it via surgical bombing strikes. Why couldn't we just bomb the nuke/WMD plants/locations? Answer: Because we didn't know IF they had WMD much less where they were. That is, our intelligence was too crappy to CONFIRM existence so we just went in on an assumption.
