First, Clinton didn't lose the popular vote and take the presidency after a hotly contested vote recount in a state whose Governor was his brother, could not account for serious and egregious voting irregularities and has to this this day never managed to explain why entire regions of minority voters were turned away from what should have been their polling places. Further, when Clinton was re-elected the election didn't hinge on a state where voting machines were purchased from a company whose CEO publically stated that he would "do everything in his power" to keep Bush in office.
