I agree that this is an important topic. I don't know if this thread can actually be called a discussion, but I do think there is a danger in not speaking out when someone says things like "that country is unfriendly, let's annihilate it," and the danger is that people will think there is a consensus to that effect.
Just in case anyone is unclear as to my position - I think it would be one of the top-ten worst mistakes in history. Not to mention morally reprehensible! I find the fact that it is being seriously discussed to be really scary, the more so since I think that the administration, is, yes, stupid enough to make the same mistake twice, and the American public is yes, quite likely to buy the Fox News version yet again.
