They are talking about bunker buster nukes and the long-term effects of the resulting chimney fume fall out, not annihilating cities. Funny thing is in this case they don't need them because we know where their centrifuges are and a conventional bunker buster will take them out very easily. But let them think a nuke might be coming if it scares the shit out of them.
