TW said we took a turn for the worse when we voted for Bush. Since
we're getting all retro I pondered the alternative.

Didn't Gore go to Saudi Arabia and denounce the U.S. government for
committing "terrible abuses" against Arabs after 9/11, and that Arabs
had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable"
conditions?

Didn't he also complain about not applying the Geneva Convention to
captured terrorists? As if they had a legitimate army and country.

There was no question about Bush asked.
