This is an easy one! Two letters for you: VC - venture capital. Or PEGs, private equity groups. To get started, find the VCs/PEGs in your area; just about every major city has them but especially places like Chicago and, of course, San Francisco. They come is so many flavors it's hard to recommend any particular one - some specialize in small firms, some software, some technology, some are any company, etc. For example one of the biggies in the Twin Cities area is St. Paul Ventures. There are online publications that may clue you in too such as http://www.privateequityweek.com And, depending on the size of the $$ you're talking about, you may want a lawyer with you as you get deeper into negotiations.
