My expectation is that China will eventually be forced into political reform
by the growing power of the middle class and the business elite who are not
part of the Communist Party structure. Otherwise it's all bets off for the
Chinese economy in the long run. Hell, look at Japan. Even with a democracy,
their patronage system cost them a decade of stagnation due to bad loans.
