I like this bit at the end as well. I would be interested to see whether
David Brooks still thinks there is a stable Republican coalition in this
country. There are a whole lot of pissed off Republicans right now, and
unfortunately, the totally inept Republican caucus in Congress is doing
nothing to help itself right now. The House seems dead set on obstructing
what the vast majority of Americans want on immigration reform. And that's
just the tip of the iceberg floating toward the Republican Titanic right
now.

The President, IMHO, is actually doing a decent job right now, but his
administration is stuck cleaning up the mess in Iraq, and until that
situation improves, he isn't going to get credit for anything else that he
does right.
