I disagree with the military assessment in Iraq. The military has done everything it has been asked to do. The mess has grown out of the lack of a political resolution between the Sunnis and Shias, and I don't think there is much we can do about that at this point. People talk about how badly Iraq is going because of bunch of fake cops are kidnapping people on the streets of Baghdad, but the US military can do nothing about that situation. It needs to be resolved by the parties that are fighting each other.
