How many computers are you looking to serve?  Just get the free Windows 
Media Encoder and it will stream up to 5 simulataneous connections.  The 
computer does not need to be so beefy if the encoding is kept to a small 
bandwith.  Your network needs to be able to handle the bandwidth as well.  I 
know the answers, ask the questions.
