Facts are what really happened, not some poltician or writer's spin on what happened. Several list members here, when asked for facts or empirical evidence, will invariably attack the messanger instead of the message. Calling me a left-wing loon adds nothing to the argument, but instead mimics the tactics of those whose only methodology is to besmirch anyone who disagrees with them. I try, and I may not alway to succeed, to never make my replies a personal attack. Even with Sam, who I long ago decided is only ever going to parrot the right-wing spin, I try not to attack him, only to point out the fallacies in his posts.
As for your statements below, Moore and Rush may both be liars. I have such an avoidance of the commentary of both the left and right, I have not exposed myself to specific instances, hence my request for links to any evidence of such. I am well aware that Iraq and Afghanistan are different wars, however my personal view, which I always label as such, is that they are both being fought more for greed that for any real attemp to make us more secure. That is probably because I am more afraid of a government with will spy on and imprison their citizens for thought crimes than I am of a terrorist bomb. As for the elections, we obviously have different definitions of winning. I will never acknowledge Bush as a legally elected president, although I recognize that due to the actions of the Supreme court, and the Florida and Ohio election commissions, he holds the office. But I don't like it, and I never will, As a citizen of this great country, I feel that it is not only my right, but my duty to speak out against what I perceive as a grave wrong. So I'll continue to speak, until the minions duct tape my mouth shut and pitch me in cell.
