I'd love one too, but won't for the same reasons you aren't.  I've
decided to take out my need for speed in a car and, honestly, that's
where my main interest is anyway.

I think it depends on where you are, where you'll drive, and how.
Even so, you never know.  My uncle lives in a very northern suburb of
Detroit and finally got his dream Harley cruiser.  He only went on
group rides and never rode in the city.  Things went great for about 3
years and then on the way back to his subdivision he was waiting at a
left turn signal and a pickup truck plowed into him.

He saw it coming and tried to move but there was no where he could go.
 The truck destroyed the bike and it fell on him and tore up his leg.
Luckily he wears full leathers w/ Kevlar and a full helmet so he
wasn't hurt too bad.

Because Michigan is a no-fault state it was charged to his insurance.
