International law is relevant....only not in this application. As someone pointed out, the US, and any other member nation with whom Iraq signed the cease fire after the first Gulf War, would be well within their rights under international law to attack Iraq for breaking their promises.
So the war is legal, it was just a really bad idea....and this soldier has no legal ground to stand on. Like Tim said, he's really an affront to all the brave men and women who have answered the call of duty when it came.
