I second Thunderbird, however I found that Thunderbird does not have the capability as Outlook itself. Trust me, I am not in favor of Outlook either but considering the Task listing, Calendar, and contacts, plus it can by synched to SmarterMail for webmail as far as the contacts, tasks, and calendar items, make the decision for me.
I use to use Thunderbird religiously for a long time. Prior to that it was Eudora. Eudora was great about 5-10 years ago. Not sure about how it stand up now. I know Thunderbird does have the calendar portion but is more along the lines on an additional programming running along side of Thunderbird. There is a contact listing in Thunderbird which has a nice interface. As far as Spam is concerned, I would have to say that Thunderbird does do a better job than Outlook. -----Original Message----- From: Rick Root [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2006 12:50 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Best mail client Michael Dinowitz wrote: > I've been dealing with mail issues on a new box for the last day or so and an important question has come up: What mail client is the best? > I have all of my mail in outlook express and can move it all to the new box in the same format or move to eudora or thunderbird. What would you suggest and why? I find Mozilla Thunderbird to be easier to use, and I think it does a great job detecting spam (after a couple weeks of training, it's pretty reliable!)
