I'll probably be crucified for saying it but Outlook (not express) as been
nothing but good for me.

Full featured, integrates well with mobile devices and other systems and the
later versions are quite secure.

It also has an excellent spam filter and a rich "rules" (filters) builder.
Because of this it handles large numbers of email addresses well (I have 19
domains so I have a lot of email addresses coming in).

You can also integrate directly with some external tools and semi-directly
with others (for example you can make a "folder" in Outlook which presents
hotmail or gmail).

Lastly it lets you use Word as your email editor which is very nice indeed
(all of the same inline spelling, dictionary, grammar tools are available
right in the email).

Of course Outlook also does calendaring, notes and task management which,
although having nothing to do with email, definitely sweeten the pot.
