Well written piece there.  A just released poll said that 87% of
Lebonese support Hezbollah.  What it was prior to invasion I dunno.
That poll is either confirmation of Israel's approach or confirmation
of their total screw up.

That having been said, the more I read and hear Lebanon was far from
innocent here.  Just a few days ago the Lebonese PM said to Tim Russet
that he had no intention of controlling the military wing of Hezbollah
no matter who's help he got.  To me that's implicit approval of their
methods although he didn't explicitly say that.

The summary to me so far is:

Israel has, by their own admission, pursued a stupid policy and is now
looking for ways to diminish the fallout from their mistake.  But also
to continue to make progress against Hezbollah.
