I was citing it because it's the only place that I've seen recently
that show the towers falling and the hell that people of all nations
went through as they came down. I could have said, "remember what
happened 5 years ago in September but it would not have had the same
visual opportunity to impact.

Now then to point out some other reasons, I'll cite some web
resources. You've no doubt heard of Wahhabi Islam, the "terrorist
branch of Islam." A little digging while I was working a reply out
brought out the fact that not even all Wahhabist are anti-American.
The real name of the group is the Salafi branch of Islam. A quick
read at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salafi revealed the
following quote:

Salafis tend to differentiate themselves not so much by matters of
Islamic practice, such as prescriptions for prayer (salat) or Islamic
dress (hijab), but by their attitude towards the state.
....
    * Some Salafis believe that violent jihad is permissible against
foreign, non-Muslim, occupation, but not against governments that
claim to be Islamic. Those governments are to be reformed, not
violently overthrown. Civil war (fitna) is to be avoided.

They also believe in driving out "fitnah", which Wikipedia says, "is
often used to refer to civil war, disagreement and division within
Islam and specifically alludes to a time involving trials of faith,
similar to the Tribulation in Christian eschatology. The word also
implies meanings including secession, upheaval and anarchy."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitna

Wikipedia also includes the following two quotes from the Qur'an:
(8:39) "So fight them until there is no more disbelief (fitnah)
and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)"
(8:39) "And fight with them until there is no more persecution
(fitnah) and religion should be only for Allah"

One pont about Islamic law - we hear all the time about "fatwas" and
"fiqhs" being issued by mullahs. Islamic counries are theocracies,
they are governed by religous law with no distinction between secular
and religous. I found this paragraph interesting

"The Shari'ah, which is analogous to codified law in Western society,
consists of the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and a constantly evolving
collection of Fatwas, or rulings, that deal with every aspect of
Islamic life from ideology to practical daily matters. Throughout
Islamic history, Imams and Mullahs have issued Fatwas, which have the
force of law among Muslims, similar to a ruling by a Western court. As
in the West, these rulings can be confirmed or overturned by a higher
authority, by issuing a Fiqh."

Therefore the Quar'an and the fatwas issued by the extremist mullahs
are all good religous Islamic terrorists need to justify their
actions.

So far all I'm seeing is nothing but religous reasons why those
extremists want everyone to either worship Allah or die. I'll end
with a lovely quote I found on a site titled "The Wahhabi Fitnah" at
http://village.flashnet.it/users/fn034463/fitnah.html

Whomever contends with the Messenger after the right path was exposed
to him and follows other than the way of the believers, Allah will
leave him to whatever he followed and put him in Hell (Jahannam)
