Take your typical "C/E Catholics" (no I'm not picking on them, just an
example). That means "Christmas and Easter Catholics", which means
they only go to church on Christmas and Easter.

Well, that's not very religious from a Catholic perspective. It's
fine by me, and I think CEs have every right to do as they see fit,
but their religion doesn't see it that way.

An opposing example could be the Amish. They are arguably much more
true to a literal interpretation of the Bible, but the difference is
that you don't see many people that are sort-of Amish or CE Amish.
Typically you either are or you aren't.

My issue with religion is the cult aspects which most religions are
founded on. They aren't centered on the individual, but the group.
They leave little freedom for personal interpretation within the
religion.

That's different from the nutter who interprets so strictly that
he/she breaks the Golden Rule.

However, when government is combined with religion, now the religious
leaders have the power to *enforce* religion. Typically that's when
things start to go wrong because most religions, including all Yahweh
based religions say that their's is the one true religion and all the
rest are wrong.

Because of that, I'm not religious at all.
