The press JUMPS when the question is not answered promptly and with apparent honest, but they get asked every single day. If a person tries to avoid the issue with hems and haws, the press is on them like hyenas on red meat. They sense a story, and feel personally slighted when someone lies to them, or prevaracates in any way.
